It’s not every day that the Maroochy Neighbourhood Centre is inundated with high-vis, high energy tradies in the dozens. In fact, that probably goes for just about anywhere.
September 4th 2025 saw MNC temporarily close for what was ‘The Great Makeover’ - a building blitz generously donated and coordinated by O’Brien Electrical & Plumbing Taskforce as part of their commitment to community.
So… here’s the numbers! 75+ tradies across the board, fueled by 200+ snags on the BBQ, contributing 400+ hours of sweat and skill to our Centre. And the result…
New toilets

Hot and Chilled Water Zip Hydro Tap
2 new Air-conditioning units & fans throughout
Updated LED lighting & fittings throughout
Power points with USB ports throughout
Plumbing for our long-awaited café
A brand new laundry tub and cabinet
Updated plumbing in the commercial kitchen
A fresh paint that has brightened up the offices
Gardening, weeding & gutter cleaning
O’Brien and their business partners put on a display of unique compassion, teaming up with expert precision and team work to get the job done by 3pm. And the Rotary Club of Buderim was there to fuel the masses with their trademark mouth-watering BBQ. All in all, it was a sight to behold and a memorable day and display of what can be done with many hands and hearts.
